Members of the Basij, the paramilitary wing of the #Iran's Revolutionary Guard, on Saturday unveiled new anti-American murals painted on the walls of the former US embassy in #Tehran.

The ceremony organised by the Basij Resistance Force, which is currently in control of the former embassy's buildings and compound, comes ahead of the 40th anniversary of the 1979 takeover of the US diplomatic post by revolutionary students.

The Statue of Liberty with a cut off hand, an American revolver with bent down barrel and the shooting down of the US drone in the Persian Gulf by IRGC with bats flying out of it are some of the new wall decorations of the former embassy.

Iran will commemorate the 40th anniversary of the seizure of the diplomatic compound and the 444-day hostage crisis that followed on 4 November by staging a rally in front of the compound.
