This video link has 2 parts in it from different regions. It is under 5 minutes so it is a quick view. The sound track is Iggy Pop, a song called I am the Passenger. One of my favs... The first part is in the North of Ecuador very close to the famous Otovalo area known for its super industrious people and artisan weaving. The location is a Volcano called Volcan Cuicocha, whose crater now forms a really cool lake with a tiny island in the middle. Also known as Lago Cuicocha which is about 9,500 feet. There is another volcano nearby called Cotacachi. The north area is obviously in the mountains and is kinda dry which makes for an amazing contrast to the second part of the video which is in the subtropic region at about 4,000 feet yet it is only about a 2 1/2 hour drive away. It is crazy to see how the jungle takes over the landscape as you drop from the the higher elevations to the jungle.
