An exciting one-step, direct-feed process of manufacturing recycled wood product, commonly known as mulch.
You will see an excavator loading the Morbark 1300 Tub Grinder which feeds the re-ground hardwood directly into the Keestrack Frontier for screening & scalping. This process feeds the hardwood into the Screen at a rapid rate of about 250-350 yards per hour.
The wood material is then screened and separated into three different piles via the three separate conveyors on the machine: The left side conveyor (or the fines conveyor) produces a 3/8" minus "sawdust-like" product used as a quality topsoil; as the center conveyor separates the "overs" or the over-sized material; while the right-side conveyor yields a perfectly-sized, finished mulch product, ready to be colored and applied.
This direct-fed process, eliminates the time-consuming stage of loading the material from the grinder to the screen, essentially streamlining the process, eliminating the need for the loader or excavator and the manpower to run the machines.
