Have you ever wondered how to measure constitutional silver in ounces? This video explains how to weigh junk silver or constitutional silver and be able to convert "face value" into ounces. When buying constitutional silver it is important to be able to understand how much is in an ounce so you don't get ripped off! I explain how 90% silver has 10% copper in it so you actually need the final weight to be 1.111 OZT to equal 1 Ounce of silver. This usually comes out to around $1.40 face value of junk silver depending on the wear of the coins. The older coins will usually have more wear on them so it is important to try to stack newer constitutional silver if you want the most weight possible!
