Questions & Answers About Range Rovers

1) Are Range Rover's reliable?
This question has been asked in so many different ways and so many different times, so I thought I would just sum it up. Honestly, they are and they aren't. It's like any other luxury car. It's going to have things come up from time to time. These things are littered with sensors monitoring everything about everything - all the time.

Those sensors are typically what can cause issues in them, but there are also way more mechanical pieces in a Range Rover than in something like a Kia Soul. From locking diffs to terrain response systems and traction control settings, Land Rovers are some of the most capable machines around. So that can lead to mechanical faults if the vehicle isn't serviced correctly.

Truth is, if you take care of it, it'll be just fine. You'll need to do the timing chain, change fluids, and keep up the service, but you should really do that on any car. Aside from that, air suspension will be what everyone tells you will fail. And when it does, just fix it. It's really not that big of a deal.

2) How many miles does your Range Rover have?
This one is easy, so I won't overtalk this time. Currently, my Range Rover is sitting around 123,000 miles. I bought it at 97k, I think, and it's been such a fantastic machine. I've had to do some repairs and standard maintenance, but it's all been scheduled stuff that is known to go bad.

3) Do you take your Range Rover off-road?
Like most Range Rover owners, I've spent a ton of time babying it and taking care of it. So honestly, no I don't. When I first bought it I would take it on small off-road excursions, but I've never experienced it what it can truly do. However, I would absolutely love to get a group of other owners together and take them on a trip - on and off road. So if you have one, let me know, and we can organize a meet-up!

4) What are they like to drive?
Honestly, they're pretty interesting to drive. I've never driven something that gives you such a commanding feeling, but I imagine a tank is similar. The problem is, the tank doesn't have any of the unmatched luxury of the Range Rover. Even after a few years, this thing still holds up to modern luxury suvs, so I'm incredibly impressed with it.

5) Is there anything you dislike?
I'd have to be very very picky about it, because I am incredibly bias about how amazing they are. If I had to pick something I disliked about the L322, it would probably be the lack of bluetooth audio and not having a power lift tailgate. The tech was there, so I'm not sure why it wasn't put into a luxury vehicle with such a demanding price tag.

6) Does yours ever... work?
Nope.

7) What is the cabin noise at 60 MPH?

At 60 miles per hour, it peaks at 63 dB and averages 61. I have no idea if that's good or bad, but after being in a Toyota going the same speed, it feels pretty good to me!

8) Can you show us the interior materials of the L322?
I'll add some b-roll here and let a beautiful little montage show you.

9) What's the best warranty?
I personally have no experience with warranties on Range Rovers, but I've been told be other people that USAA has a great warranty, and someone once said CarMax had a good warranty. Can't remember who, though.

10) What about older L322s?
A while back I made a video of a Range Rover buyer's guide. In that video, I said I'd recommend 2008 models and newer. There were a few reasons for that, so here they are.

I have nothing against older models and L322s. My biggest point was that age is a factor in any car buying process. The older it is, the more likely components are to fail shortly after purchase. It's also more likely owners have neglected things over time before you get it.

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. πŸŽ₯

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced πŸ€”

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. πŸ”

Creating Truly Random Links πŸ› οΈ

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube πŸ“Ί

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎡

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact πŸ€‘

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. πŸ“ˆ
