Η κίνηση προς το εσωτερικό του εαυτού σου δεν είναι ποτέ οριζόντια, και επειδή γίνεται προς τα μέσα έχει αμέτρητο βάθος. Κι όταν υπάρχει αληθινά αυτό το βάθος, δεν είναι ούτε οριζόντιο ούτε κάθετο. Όσο η εκπαίδευση θα ενδιαφέρεται απλώς για την παιδεία του «έξω», εξειδικεύοντας, δυναμώνοντας τον κομφορμισμό- την προσαρμογή και την υποταγή-, η κίνηση προς τα μέσα με το τεράστιο βάθος της θα είναι αναπόφευκτα για τους λίγους, και στην έλλειψη αυτής της κίνησης υπάρχει επίσης πολλή θλίψη. Και η θλίψη δεν μπορεί να διαλυθεί, δεν μπορεί να κατανοηθεί όταν σπαταλάς τρομερή ενέργεια τρέχοντας πάνω κάτω στην επιφάνεια. Αν δεν τη διαλύσετε γνωρίζοντας διαρκώς τον εαυτό σας, θα έχετε τη μία επανάσταση μετά την άλλη, μεταρρυθμίσεις που θα χρειάζονται κι άλλες μεταρρυθμίσεις, και θα συνεχίζεται ο αδιάκοπος ανταγωνισμός μεταξύ των ανθρώπων.
