Chicken Tikka Biryani Recipe is the famous Indian  Cuisine. Boneless Chicken is marinated in spicy mix of Yogurt and Spices, then cooked for making delicious homemade Tikka and finally mixed with Gravy and Long Grained Basmati Rice

ingredients required for tikka

500 g boneless chicken (or with bones)
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
 1 tsp cumin powder
 1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp red chili powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garam masaa
1/4 tsp food color
4 tbsp yogurt(well beaten)
1 tbsp heaped ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp lemon juice
coal
oil 2tbsp
ingredients for biryani masala:

2 medium size onion chopped
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp red chili powder
 1 tsp kasuri methi.
4 tbsp yogurt(well beaten)
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
4 tbsp coriander leaves
4 green chili chopped
whole spices:

4-5 cloves
1 black cardamom
2 cinnamon stick
4 green cardamom
1 tsp black pepper corn
1 tbsp white cumin seeds
ingredients for rice:

500 g long grain rice
1 tsp shahi zeera
2 tbsp salt
2 bay leaves
1 cinnamon stick
 4 green cardamom
2 tbsp oil
ingredients for "Dum Layering"

2 fried onion
4-5 tbsp mint leaves
1/4 tsp food color
2 pinch of saffron soaked in warm milk
4 tbsp pure ghee
Method:

Marinate chicken pieces with rest of ingredients listed above for minimum 1 hour.
wash the rice thoroughly and soak for 1 hour.
Heat a large vessel with enough  water bring a boil and add all listed ingredients for rice, add the soaked rice and cook till 75% done.
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan add marinated chicken pieces, cook till its fully done.
It will take 15-20 min.Dry all excess water on high flame.
Heat 100 ml oil in a pan add all whole spices, saute it for few sec.
Add onion and fry it till golden.
Now add all spices listed for biryani masala and cook on low flame  till aromatic and oil separate.
Add tikka  pieces in biryani masala.
mix well.
Place a steel bowl on the surface of gravy and keep a hot burning coal on it.
Pour some oil over it, cover it with a lid, eave it for 8-10 min.
Open the lid and discard the coal .
In a large pan add half chicken tikka biryani masala as first layer.
spread cooked rice and sprinkle saffron and food color, sprinkle mint and fried onion
Repeat the process with rest of rice.
Place a heavy bottom tawa under the vessel, and cook it on medium flame for about 15-20 min.
Our chicken Tikka Biryani is ready to serve..
