Episode 110: Southern Fried Onion Rings 🌰 Video

Are you a fan on Onion Rings? OMG these are the BOMB delicious...Crispy on the Outside and Tender on the Inside! Yall will love this and it is my go 2 Onion Rings Recipe!!

1 medium and large Onion, peeled and cut into Rings, 1/4-1/3 inch slices
1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
1 1/3 cups Panko breadcrumbs
Seasonings: Seasoning Salt, Black Pepper, White Sugar, Garlic Powder, Herbs de Provence

Milk Mixture

1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 large egg, slightly beaten
5 dashes hot sauce

Canola Oil, for frying (or any oil)

Dipping Sauce

3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp yellow mustard
Hot Sauce, to taste

Cook's Note: You made use any seasonings you prefer and you can use regular breadcrumbs, cornmeal, or even croutons.

Cut and peel onions and slice into rings. In 2 pans, add flour and seasonings and milk mixture to the other pan. Coat Rings into flour then milk, place onion rings on a pan with wire rack to drain the access milk. In another pan, add breadcrumbs and seasonings; dredge Onion Rings in the breadcrumbs and let it rest for 15 Minutes. In a cast iron skillet or large pan, add oil and heat it to 325-350 degrees. Add Rings and fry 2-3 Minutes on each side. Drain on a wire rack and serve with dipping sauce (optional).

For the Sauce: In a small bowl Mix everything together and serve with Onion Rings.
