Back in the 1980s I came up with the idea of Shopzilla, a Godzilla who is a shopping lady. The lyrics are very close to the original song by Blue Öyster Cult. I don't play all the awesome lead riffs of the original song yet. This version shows me performing live at Till It Shines Coffee House in Roseburg, Oregon on November 14, 2012.

SHOPZILLA
Parody title and lyrics by The Bicycling Guitarist Chris Watson
Copyright ©1988.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With a purse in her hand and a terrible sound,
she pulls the spitting high-tension buyers down.

Helpless people in shopping malls
scream, bug-eyed, as she looks in on them.

She picks up a dress and she throws it back down
as she wades through the buildings toward the center of town.

Oh No! They say she's got to go. Go, Go Shopzilla!
Oh well, there's another sale! Go, Go Shopzilla!

[instrumental break]

Oh No! They say she's got to go. Go, Go Shopzilla!
Oh well, there's another sale! Go, Go Shopzilla!

Her story shows again and again what she will do for a bargain. Shopzilla!
Her story shows again and again what she will do for a bargain. Shopzilla!
Her story shows again and again what she will do for a bargain. Shopzilla!
Her story shows again and again what she will do for a bargain. Shopzilla!
