The criminal history of Eric Garner is being used as a justification of the police chokehold death of the man, and the Walmart shooting of John Crawford is being explained away as resulting from his ignoring police instructions to drop an air rifle. With video evidence frequently being dismissed as grounds for a criminal trial and not being persuasive enough for grand juries, what is it going to take for police to be prosecuted for killing citizens?
