How to Hide Your Wi-Fi Network (SSID) ?
Hiding wireless router (D-link router) SSID.
This video will show you how to hide Wifi(SSID) on Dlink Routers or Tp-link Routers from others/hackers .
Steps to Hide Wifi or SSID of your router from others like from hackers:
1. login to your Router
2. Go to Advanced wireless settings
Change the name of your Wireless Network.(Make sure to remember)
3. If You are using Dlink router than find SSID and change the visibility status to invisible...
If You are using Tp-link Router than go to Wireless settings and
Disable SSID Broadcast...
4. Click Save/Apply to save these settings on your Dlink/Tp-link Router.
Note : Make sure to remember the name of your wireless network which you have changed. Because after hiding or making wifi(SSID) of your router invisible, you will not be able to set up your wireless connection to your wifi untill unless you do not know the name of your Wifi/Wireless/SSID.
Now Reboot your router to take effect new wifi settings on your Router.
How to Connect to the Wifi network that is hidden:
You have to manually set up wireless network connection from the devices which you want to connect.
So select the option "Manually Setup/connect to wireless network"
Enter Network Name and other required Info and you can connect to your wifi network.
