Anggota Komisi III DPR dari Fraksi PDI Perjuangan Masinton Pasaribu membenarkan banyak kasus teror kepada KPK. Oleh karena itu, dalam rangka menguatkan agenda pemberantasan korupsi yang merupakan kejahatan extraordinary perlu ada penataan hubungan antar lembaga penegak hukum secara menyeluruh.

Sementara Ketua KPK Agus Rahardjo mengatakan ada hambatan psikologis yang dialami oleh tim gabungan dari polisi untuk menyelesaikan kasus Novel. Sementara untuk melindungi anggotanya, Agus mengatakan akan meningkatkan keamanan personil dan data-datanya.

Direktur LBH Jakarta Arif Maulana mengatakan pihaknya mendukung untuk ada pembentukan TGPF baru ketimbang tim teknis demi menghindari adanya konflik kepentingan. “Kasus Novel ini bukan hanya tugas polisi untuk menuntaskannya, tapi tugas kita semua,” kata Arif.
