CAPER ONE & VANDAL DECA : LESSONS IN SLOW ENGINEERING [AH 001]

The first physical release from the Analogue Hades vault sees regular denizen The Slow Engineer assuming his Caper One mantle and heading further underground whilst leaving the dungeon door ajar for oldschool collaborator and fellow sonic miscreant Vandal Deca.

Recorded across sessions between 2017/18 "Lessons In Slow Engineering" saw the production of six (6 minute+) edits of prime eldritch electronica; where on-the-fly improvisation and happy accidents sit equally alongside deft digital doctoring and deep-knowledge kit-craft.

At-times heavy on the synthesised bass, full of pulsing rhythm and frequently unpredictable - it's a release to evoke darkened aural vistas that, perhaps, have yet to exist, whilst remaining imbued with a sense of mischief which cuts through the tracks as the listener fathoms the moments of split-second finger-pokery and silent high-fives as the pair work their craft.

Perhaps not the easiest of listens, but highly recommended to the aurically adventurous and to fans of The Slow Engineer's other recent output: this release continues to yield rewards with each visit.
