Karela is one of my favorite vegetables. I prefer to cook karela with its skin on. The fruit is most often eaten green as it becomes more bitter when ripens.
Onion 2 medium
1 green chilli
1 glass off water
Salt to taste
Half teaspoon red chilli powder
Half teaspoon turmeric
1 tablespoon dry methi
Half cup oil
