Hey, this is Samantha from EventMB and today we are going to talk about how you can help drive more attendee traffic to trade show booths.

If your exhibitors are not happy, they won’t renew next year, but obviously you can’t physically drag people around or make them visit exhibitors they are not interested in.

We want to keep our exhibitors happy.

Exhibitors want good footfall to their booths.

Think!

Whenever someone signs up for your exhibition, offer them some advice and support to make the most of their investment. How can you work with your exhibitors to increase visits to their stand?

Here are 5 smart tactics to encourage more visitors to interact with exhibitors at your trade show.

Social Ads

A quick look at a random exhibition hashtag on Twitter will illustrate how clogged with spam hashtags can become. ‘Come and visit us, we are so cool’ messages flood the feed but offer no value.

Social advertising is a great way to gain competitive advantage and secure prime real estate in the event stream via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Ads help you to target specific hashtags and audiences, making sure you focus only on relevant prospects. This is an often overlooked opportunity with lots of potential.

Of course if your message is just ‘come and visit us, we are so cool’, not even ads will help with such a weak message.

Competitions

This is the most adopted and abused tactic to increase footfall at exhibitions. There is a space for competitions but only for smart ones. Competitions should be part of the product and brand.
It is a smart idea to run contests over social networks during the event, rather than asking for the vintage ‘business card in a bowl’.
Offer your products or services as rewards. Preserve the value of your core service while giving something away.

Tweetup

A Tweetup can bring together online and offline audiences and be a great gathering of like minded people.
The more innovative and welcoming you are towards online communities and technology, the better the results can be.

Charity Giving

Donating to charity is such an amazing proposition but not many consider it. It immediately shifts perceptions and attitudes. Why not ask for social actions in return for benefits for a chosen charity? For example every lead from the exhibition could generate a tree being planted and every sale could prompt a charitable donation.

Event Mobile App

Premium sponsorship opportunities are HOT features in mobile apps. With growing adoption, this is a great way to secure precious advertising real estate in a very relevant and timely fashion.

Driving attendees to exhibition stands is not an easy mission. It requires creativity and smart communication. We hope some of these ideas have inspired you and your exhibitors to attract greater traffic at your next tradeshow

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. 🎥

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced 🤔

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. 🔍

Creating Truly Random Links 🛠️

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube 📺

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎵

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact 🤑

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. 📈
