There are many different ways to play Magic: The Gathering. Sealed Constructed is the way used by prerelease events, some competitive tournaments, and a lot of casual play. If you want to go down to your local store and play in a prerelease, the format you will be playing is Sealed Constructed.

So what is Sealed?

In Sealed Constructed, players open 6 sealed booster packs of Magic: The Gathering and build a deck from those cards, that is, the six booster packs provide you with a pool of cards to choose from, and you will ultimately make a 40 card minimum deck from the options you have available after opening your booster packs.

Since sealed constructed is the format of Magic prerelease, and also a great way to have casual games with friends, it is a good format for new players to learn and understand how best to build a deck for.

Sometimes even experienced players may need help in the basics of sealed deck construction. This video will guide you through the process of building a sealed constructed deck for prerelease, launch, and other sealed events.

This video is intended for beginners, if you are looking for more intermediate lessons, my own Tolarian Tutor series covers everything from Building Better Limited Mana Bases to Mana Curve and Card Advantage, and I will link both resources in this videoโ€™s description.

About the Site ๐ŸŒ

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. ๐ŸŽฅ

Origins of the Idea ๐ŸŒฑ

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. ๐Ÿง

Challenges Faced ๐Ÿค”

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. ๐Ÿ”

Creating Truly Random Links ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube ๐Ÿ“บ

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. ๐ŸŒŸ

Content and Users ๐ŸŽต

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact ๐Ÿค‘

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. ๐Ÿ“ˆ
