Infinite Warfare se establece en un futuro lejano, después de que la Tierra haya sido despojada de sus recursos naturales como resultado del crecimiento de la población y la expansión industrial, llevando a las naciones del mundo a unirse y formar la Alianza Espacial de Naciones Unidas (UNSA) Organización que se ocupa de cuestiones relacionadas con el comercio, los viajes, las reivindicaciones de tierras y todos los esfuerzos relacionados con la colonización del espacio humano.
