IRONICALLY ... from time to time the shop staff complain when the van is told to move ... ON RARER OCCASION ... by traffic wardens; in defense of the van driver's right to make a living ... 1stly unaware that ice cream vans aren't allowed to stop / trade anywhere on Camden Hi. St. ... 2ndly that the van as parked; ½ on the street, ½ on the pavement ... causes a traffic choke point and is a visual diversion away from the shop's products ... 3rdly exposure to hours and hours of ... CONTINUOUS EXHAUST FUMES IS A SERIOUS HEALTH RISK ... to the very same shop staff whom by standing up for the van to stay in place are ... INADVERTENTLY POISING THEIR OWN LUNGS ... the ice cream van's driver may give a free ice cream cone every now and then to shop staff, to pacify any objections for parking in front of the shops ... WHILST ... earning from £800 on a bad day to £1300 profit on a better day, unlawfully fly-pitched on public lands, paying no business rates, nor any other fixed shop over-head £££ ... WHILST GAINING THE SYMPATHY OF THE STAFF THAT ARE BREATHING THE VAN'S EXHAUSTS ... !!!
