Skull bones
Your skull is comprised of 22 different bones. Most of these bones are joined together by sutures, which are the orange lines on this skull model.

The bones of the skull can be separated into 2 categories, 8 cranial bones that surround and protect the brain, and 14 facial bones that form the face and provide for attachment of facial muscles. There are also 6 ear bones and a bone in the neck that we will be covering that are associated with the skull.

The 8 cranial bones include the frontal bone located at the top front of the skull and extends inwards forming the top portion of the eye orbit, 2 parietal bones located on the sides of the top of the skull, 2 temporal bones located on the sides of the skull, underneath the parietal bones, an occipital bone located in the back of the skull, an sphenoid bone located in the inner part of the skull and extends into the outer part of the eye sockets, and it resembles a bat with extended wings, and the ethmoid bone which is also located in the inner part of the skull and extends into the inner part of the eye sockets.

The facial bones include the 2 nasal bones located between the eye sockets forming the upper part of the bridge of the nose, 2 maxillae bones which extend backwards forming the front of the upper jaw part of the nasal cavity and the bottom portion of the eye orbits, 2 zygomatic bones or cheekbones which also form the front outer portion of the eye sockets, the mandible which is the lower jaw bone, 2 lacrimal bones located on the front inner portion of the eye orbits, 2 palatine bones located in the back of the upper jaw, 2 inferior nasal concha located on the inner sidewall of the nasal cavity, and the vomer located between the nasal concha we just mentioned

The 6 ear bones are all very small structures and include 2 malleus bones, 2 incus bones and 2 stapes bones.

Some sources also discuss the hyoid bone with the bones of the skull as it is a single bone located beneath the skull in the neck.

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. πŸŽ₯

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced πŸ€”

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. πŸ”

Creating Truly Random Links πŸ› οΈ

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube πŸ“Ί

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎡

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact πŸ€‘

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. πŸ“ˆ
