I knew that if I was ever going to film this video, it wasn't because I wanted to put my personal drama out in the open or discuss details of my relationships- it's because I wanted to share my experience so it could help you if you were going through something similar. Break ups and negativity in relationships are things that everyone ultimately deals with, and I wanted you to know that God can transform even the darkest experiences into something absolutely beautiful. My life has changed so much in just the last year + I wanted to share that with you. It would be so easy to look at my life from the outside, not knowing any of this, and think that you could never get to this point. I wanted to share my experience with you to let you know that I've been treated the absolute worst by people I thought would treat me the best-- and I came out of it! How someone treats you is not a reflection of YOUR worth. It's a reflection of THEIR character. You can get through this negative period- you can't choose how someone treats you, but you CAN choose what you do with it. I hope that you choose to make it beautiful. I love you guys!
To my subscribers who have been with me for years + know which relationship I'm talking about-
I wanted to personally apologize to you for not having addressed this before. I wanted to tell you, but I didn't feel that I had the green light on my own end to discuss the situation. I only wanted to share this experience if it could be something that could benefit others + be an encouragement to other people. I also didn't just want to put out a statement that said something like 'We are no longer together' because I felt that also didn't give me enough credit for how much I had been through + the extremity of the situation.
