Hi Everyone! (๑ºั╰╯ºั๑) I’m back with BlackPink’s comeback ‘Kill This Love’ after a month of inactivity haha I thought I should at least give some updates to all of you ♡ It’s just mostly personal stuff that took up most of my time for arranging new pieces!

First of all, I spent way more time that I would’ve expected to prepare pieces to play on my brother’s wedding in late March. Initially, I thought I could somehow manage to maintain uploads as I prepared for the wedding at the same time but I found out that It’s incredibly difficult because live performances require me to constantly practice all those pieces in order to maintain muscle memories and keep my skill 100% sharp, even though my so-so improv. skill did help a bit but it’s not as reliable as I originally thought, and it won’t work for complex pieces. That makes me think about how time consuming and stressful it would be and how much it will affect my channel if I were to prepare a personal concert in the future. Whereas normally when making piano videos, I would just focus 100% on a single song, arrange - practice - record - edit, then leave it behind and move on to the next song without further worries and pressures.

Other than the wedding, I was preparing and arranging my 300k sub special piece – YES 300k, not 400k yet haha! I started planning it at about 6 months ago, but I needed more inspirations and it was not until recently that I finished the whole arrangement and started practicing it . It’s definitely one of my hardest and the most technically demanded arrangements. A little bit of spoiler for you since you’ve read this far (・∀・) It’s another Anime – BTS crossover after my ‘Your Fake Love In April’, the title of this piece is ‘BTS on Ice’. Some of you might already know which pieces I’d be playing haha

Next, my health condition – if you were with me since last year, you might remember I mentioned about my shoulder blade pain, chest pain and neck pain ε≡≡ヘ( ´Д`)ノ. I figured that the cause to all of these problems is simply due to the long hours of piano practicing and too much sitting without any exercises and stretches to keep my blood flowing and circulating. As soon as I realized this, my condition has been greatly improved as I actively sought out professional helps and doing exercises regularly. In March, I successfully built a habit of running 5km every day plus doing light exercises like pushups and crunches (just like the one punch ・∀・) as well as stretching every morning when I wake up. I feel much happier and healthier and that my life is more balanced when I spent time on exercising. Having said that, allocating time on other stuff means less time for new piano videos...

Now, this happened just in early April. Basically, I took some time off flying to Hong Kong to see my grandpa one last time before he passed away due to heart disease and chest infection. It was a very short trip but incredibly memorable. I won’t ever forget how amazing my grandpa is - all the achievements he has made in life and how he took care of us when my family and I first immigrated to Canada 8 years ago. We also lived with him in his apartment for a year in 2017 / 2018 when our place was renovating! Do you remember there’s a period when my video has a hole in the background ?? (that’s part of my bunk bed btw) I staged my plushies in the hole and only the head was sticking out haha

Finally – Recently, I spent a lot of time re-studying Canada taxation. Since the tax filing deadline is approaching soon here in Canada, I started to look at and estimate how much taxes I am owing now / will be owing in the future since recently I am starting to generate more income from my piano career. However, as a resident living in Canada, one of the countries with the highest tax rates, I am a little bit bummed by the tax liabilities that I will be facing in the future. On top of the 13% sale tax that we have to pay whenever we buy stuff, the personal marginal tax rate is ranging from 20% - 53%. Making a living with piano and making music is hard enough haha and it’s even harder considering a significant portion will be taken by the government (,,•́.•̀,,) Luckily there are ways to save / defer taxes, i.e. incorporating. Guess my 4 years of university / accounting degree didn’t go to waste!! (^o^)۶

AND ~ I think this is it! Sorry for the longest but most irrelevant description ever XD And Thank you for still sticking with me even though I barely uploaded!

Cheers! (^o^)۶♡

Your pianist,

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. 🎥

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced 🤔

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. 🔍

Creating Truly Random Links 🛠️

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube 📺

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎵

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact 🤑

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. 📈
