We’ve been making and editing videos for many years, and now we’re sharing our experience with you. So, here is our top five:
Tip 1. Don’t shoot your video vertically!
Tip 2. Remember the ‘3-4 seconds rule’ - when you shoot static objects, don’t focus on landscapes in the same frame for more than 4 seconds or less than 3 seconds.
Tip 3. When you add a voiceover to your video, make the background music much quieter.
Tip 4. Add transitions between scenes to support the storyline.
Tip 5. When you shoot a person, do it at their eye level. It’s particularly important to do this when you’re shoot kids or you run the risk of only having the top of the child’s head in the frame.
