However, in the United Kingdom, it is usually referred to as polymorphic eruption of pregnancy (PEP). There is no long-term risk for the mother or the unborn child, but still its itchiness can create a lot of problems for the patient. In most cases, pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy begins on the stomach and spreads to other body parts, such as the legs, feet, arms, chest, and neck.
Urticarial Papules

The patient may apply topical moisturizing creams or aqueous or emollient ointments on the affected area. For more aggressive cases, Class I or II corticosteroid creams and ointments are used.
