I recently heard an old demo tape of a cover band made up of my brother and several good friends - this song was on it, and a fresh listen to the drum part told me this would be a fun one to learn. It was - really cool tom beat, a couple cool fills, and a couple cool transitions -- all supported by a basic but solid rock beat. Off Broadway was pretty big in Chicago, but nationally were a (barely) Johnny one-note band with one single that almost cracked the top 50 ("Stay in Time" peaked at 51). But locally the band was in heavy radio rotation in the late 70's/early 80's, and the same single peaked at #9 on WLS Chicago radio. This single, "Bad Indication", never charted.
