最近有可能是開始申請學校的時間到了
所以我收到蠻多同學的信息來問一些有關於轉學的問題
所以今天我要來講的是轉學或申請大學很重要的personal statement
我本人覺得GPA好像沒有那麼重要（雖然他還是很重要，你的GPA不能低於你想去的學校的最低門檻）
我覺得最重要的是personal statement
如果你有很強大的personal statement的話
就算是你的GPA沒有那麼高，像是3.8，3.9還是4.0
你也有可能可以申請到你想去的學校
在這裡，我是指UC跟私立學校！！
申請州立大學是不需要personal statement的！
所以如果你想要去UC的話，請一定寫好你的personal statement
最好是寫完之後可以在找人家幫忙看看改改提一點意見！！！
像是學校的counselor跟一些指導轉學的老師他們都會很樂意幫你看看的，只要你去找他們！！！
當然改一次是不夠的喔！！！
我自己就找了3個人一共改了7次才交的喔！！！
那personal statement到底要寫什麼才好？
這個你需要先考慮一下你的優點跟經驗
挑幾個最好的下去寫
不用把你祖宗八代什麼的都寫上去
因為personal statement有字數限制
再來如果你有特別想去的學校
那你可以跟那間學校的同學探聽一下
他們學校更或者是你想要去的系喜歡什麼樣子的學生！！！
你在找你相關的優點寫到你的personal statement裡面！！！
我來舉一個例子：假如你想去UCXX
然後這個某某學校的某某系剛好喜歡有社會服務經驗的人
然後你不知道這個信息
你寫了別的東西，那你很有可能被拒絕
就算你的GPA是4.0也是有可能被拒絕的
因為你沒有戳到他們喜歡的點！！！
其實我聽過蠻多GPA3.9，4.0被前1，2志願拒絕的例子
所以雖然GPA很重要，但是我還是覺得personal statement會比GPA來的更重要
請一定讓你要去的學校知道你會玩又會讀書
不是只是一個讀書機器人！！！
建議現在在讀高中以後想出國唸書的朋友
可以從現在開始準備
多參加一些活動，增加自己的經歷
等要申請學校的時候這些都用的上的！！！
