"As if you lost your way and found yourself in an Italian Concerto." Conductor Jos van Veldhoven talks about 'Was Gott tut, das ist wohlgetan', which he performed with the Netherlands Bach Society for All of Bach. This cantata starts in an unusual way: its long instrumental introduction gives the impression of a concerto. Van Veldhoven believes Bach did this with a specific thought out reason.
