Birmingham International Railway Station and AirRail Link - Saturday 28th June 2014 Video

A look at Birmingham International Railway Station on the morning of Saturday 28th June 2014.

The station is situated on the west coast main line roughly halfway between Birmingham New Street and Coventry. The station is served by Virgin Trains running between London Euston and Wolverhampton and also semi-fast services by London Midland on this same route. Arriva Crosscountry services call at the station on the Manchester Piccadilly to Bournemouth route and Arriva Trains Wales has services to Holyhead starting from here. Local stopping services are provided by London Midland between here and Birmingham New Street.

The station is connected to the airport by the 'AirRail' which is a cable driven people mover opened in 2003 to replace the earlier Maglev system.
