Rasmalai is very popular indian dessert.The name ras malai is the Hindi cognate which comes from two words in Bengali:
rosh, meaning juice, and molai, meaning cream.By following below recipe, soft and spongy ras malai can be made.
[INGREDIENTS]
To make Rasgullas:
- 1 Litre Cow’s Milk (toned milk)
- 2 Tsp Lemon juice + 2tsp Water
- 2 Cup Sugar
- 6 Cups water
To make rabri/rabdi
- ½ Litre Buffalo/fullfat milk
- Few strands of saffron(kesar)
- ½ Cup sugar
- Finely cut Pistachios, Almonds
- Cardamom(Elaichi) powder
