Mr King va prendre sa retraite et pour lui trouver un successeur, l'écurie Dinoco a décidé d'organiser un concours. Celui qui arrivera à braver la rampe et sauter le plus loin au travers du logo Dinoco sera le nouvel ambassadeur de l'équipe.
Mr King et Gray passent à cette occasion à Radiator Springs qui sont accueillis par #FlashMcQueen (Lightning McQueen en anglais).
