Today we are heading to the Pelorus River for a Hobbit Kayak Tour with Pelorus Eco Adventures. The Pelorus River is a Hobbit filming location.
We take the Pelorus Eco Adventures shuttle down to the Pelorus River where our adventure begins. We meet our inflatable kayaks, have a quick briefing, then into the Pelorus river we go.
Kayaking the Pelorus River is great for beginners, the water is mostly calm except for a few light rapids. The Pelorus Eco Adventures kayaks make it easy to manage. Soon we approach the Hobbit filming location on the Pelorus river which we learn more about on this Pelorus River Hobbit Kayak Tour.
We also learn about the eco-system and more fun facts about the Pelorus River as we travel by kayak in this stunning landscape.
When the Pelorus River Hobbit Kayak Tour comes to an end, we say goodbye to our Pelorus Eco Adventures hosts and hit the road to our next destination: Okiwi Bay.
