Today is Monday 13th February 2017 and we thought we would produce this video as we are becoming a little concerned about the personal way some of our subscribers treat controversial subjects.
If we wanted to build a channel of agreeing disciples we would set up a sect and then attempt to brainwash those members into agreeing with what we believe. This achieves very little save that perhaps we would develop a court of worshipping followers.
The purpose of our channel is to discuss precious metals and especially silver and gold, but also to reach wider into those aspects which could affect their price and your and our lives, as all of our lives are not simply dedicated to hoarding gold and silver.
We introduce and will be introducing many more controversial speakers and topics for debate. We may not necessarily agree with those speakers but that should not prevent us from allowing them to speak. As the American film critic and historian, journalist, screenwriter, and author, Roger Ebert once said:
“And I think both the left and the right should celebrate people who have different opinions, and disagree with them, and argue with them, and differ with them, but don't just try to shut them up.”
We want our channel to be different from most others which only allow one school of thought – i.e. total conspiracy or total compliance. This is why we disagree with the gold and silver pumpers – as they only talk about prices going up and have done so for the past 5 years or so when the reality has been that they have fallen. Perhaps they will be right during the next 5 years but they have caused much harm to the financial positions of many since 2011.
So when we cover an area and put forward an argument favouring one camp, you can rest assured it won’t be long before we put up another video arguing the case of the alternative camp. This is not to confuse you but to expose you to other realms of thought and logic and faith and debate – as there are very few ‘absolute truths’.
Even amongst us who contribute towards this channel, we have differing opinions and we debate them rigorously, but we don’t storm off or insult one another or refuse to work with each other because we hold a varying viewpoint. This is the richness which we have been given by God – free will and the ability to think, assess, communicate and debate and then finally come up with our own views and opinions.
We are also aware that cultures scanning the globe can be very different. Some people are easily offended and others easily offend. Generally in what we may call a ‘civilised society’ we should fall into neither camp – but to respect the views of others and not be put out by them while similarly not deliberately attempting to harm someone with insulting or demeaning words.
So we shall continue to cover topics which appear contrarian if we believe they can have an influence, however indirectly, upon the main purpose and focus of this channel. What we ask is that you be neither offended nor be offensive and if an area is of no interest then just pass it by – though we would like to think that in our modern age, the desire to learn and educate and understand other perspectives will in fact enable you and us to grow as individuals and as fellow human beings.
On that note a rather amusing comment we discovered by the actor William Shatner of Star Trek captain Kirk fame :
“We meet aliens every day who have something to give us. They come in the form of people with different opinions.” – but for goodness sake, please do not tell David Icke this.
