This video is geared towards those that are interested in pursuing graduate school, such as senior level undergraduates, Masters students, and PhD students.
Early graduate students are often overwhelmed by the number of courses that they can choose from in graduate school. My philosophy on graduate school courses is to always pursue the most difficult courses that you can pursue given your abilities. These are generally methods or theory courses.
Why should you choose the most difficult courses? This is the only time that you’re going to have a teacher that’s going to help you through learning to the different materials. It is far more difficult to learn them after-the-fact when you’re learning them on your own or through reading papers. Having somebody guide you through the process of the different theories or methods will accelerate your learning because they have seen and done that particular task before.
