Printer tipe ini memiliki cara reset yang berbeda yakni harus mengganti IC Counter.
IC 508wp ini adalah ic counter, yg fungsinya untuk menghitung berapa banyak cetak pada printer CANON seri ini. Kalau hitungannya sudah full, maka harus di reset ke nol lagi.
Sebenarnya tidak perlu mengganti ic 508WP ini kalau anda punya Resetter nya, atau kamu punya alat untuk memrogram ic counter 508wp ini sehingga bisa terisi data nol lagi.
nahhh... berhubung 2 Cara ini masih belum ada, maka cara yg paling bisa diandalkan saat ini adalah dengan mengganti IC 508WP ini, yaitu IC Counternya.
Cara Pasang IC :
- Olesi kaki ic dengan flux
- Solder kaki ic dengan timah sedikit, pastikan timah sudah menyatu
dengan kaki ic, hal ini dilakukan karena kaki ic belum pernah kena
timah.
- pasang ic ke board sesuai dengan posisinya, jangan terbalik
- pemasangan yang tidak sempurna (timah tidak menyatu pada kaki
ic) . mengakibatkan error atau kedip / blink 9x
- ic yang kepanasan bisa rusak dan blink 9x juga
Harap berhati-hati ketika melepas ic, karena jika terlalu panas blower yang digunakan maka komponen yang lain ikut rusak yang mengakibatkan mainboard tidak berfungsi atau jalur PCB putus.

perlu di ketahui untuk reset ini hanya berfungsi untuk mereset counter kembali ke nol lagi jadi setelah di reset ini tidak memperbaiki hasil print, apakah hasil putus2, hasil kurang bagus, tinta macet jadi gk ada sangkutnya ke sana ya, karena untuk perbaikan hasil print beda lagi step-stepnya tapi wajib di reset dulu printernya..
pegalaman pribadi untuk setiap printer biasanya minta di reset setelah mencetak kurang lebih 6.000 sampai 6.500 lembar, jadi printer akan minta reset lagi, tergantung printer jg ya.. bisa jadi lebih dari nilai itu...
