http://bit.ly/2LUlL0bIn today's video, I have very good news for those of you who are waiting for an iOS 12 Jailbreak. The iOS 12 has been successfully jailbroken by the Alibaba Security Team. They've developed an untethered jailbreak that they have demonstrated on YouTube just a few hours ago. Their jailbreak was tested on the final version of iOS 12 on what seems to be an iPhone X, so they've successfully bypassed all the mitigations in the iOS 12 with no problem. Their #Jailbreak is called Pandora.
#iOS 12 was considered harder to jailbreak because of Pointer Authentication Codes (PAC) in ARMv8.3 (A12 chip only) and due to the other security enhancements, Apple added (like the improvements to CoreTrust), however, it seems to not be a big problem for security researchers like the Alibaba Team. Their jailbreak seems to also include Cydia which is quite good.
Of course, there is currently no word on any releases but at least we know that Apple's changes to iOS 12 did not make jailbreaking as hard as it was speculated. I wonder if Alibaba will publish a write-up about their vulnerabilities at some point.
