Today is Friday 18th August 2017 and we are reporting on the sudden rise in gold and silver prices. Who said August would be a quiet month for Gold. Well we did, and so it should have been. But there again we are not operating in normal times.
Already this week, we have seen President Trump come under enormous pressure, partly due to his delay in condemning the KKK and Nazi Rally, partly because of his reversal of criticism stating that there were essentially bad and good dudes on both sides, and more importantly because, Republicans are now standing up to their President and stating that his comments are out of order and unacceptable.
In the last few minutes, Steve Bannon has also been sacked from his job and General Kelly, the White House Chief of Staff has already admitted to colleagues that he cannot control the President, who appears, to those both outside and inside the White House, to be ‘out of control’.
Steve Bannon who recently contradicted President Trump’s North Korea position and criticised colleagues, has been under the threat of the axe for some time. Well today he has been removed.
Gold marginally touched $1300 and silver $17.34 – though both have fallen back for the moment. They now stand at $1285 and $17.02 respectively.
The co-author or Ghost Writer of Trumps book “the Art of the Deal” Tony Shwartz stated on Anderson Cooper’s show that he believes that President Trump will resign from his office and claim victimhood rather than be called out by Special Counsel Mueller.
Republicans are questioning Trump’s Moral Authority, Competence and Stability and are becoming more vocal. The entire establishment are now rounding on the President and we believe that it is only just a matter of time as the number of enemies increase and he becomes increasingly marginalised.
Well this turbulence is good for gold and silver prices, and if the President does resign, you can expect a 10% - 15% immediate fall in the US stock Market indices and then we shall have to see the direction they move from there. We shall be very surprised if the President survives a full year in office – and if he does, we very much doubt that he will survive a second.
