1:13➤ JUMPS
Need some tips on how to make stop motion jumps, backflips and stuff at home? To shoot and edit a jump you gotta have: a wire, a piece of modeling clay, duct tape, Movavi Photo Editor and Movavi Video Editor. Take some shots of the character attached to a wire and remove the wire from photos with the aid of Movavi Photo Editor.
3:35➤ THROWING OBJECTS
How to animate an object thrown by the character. First, take a few shots highlighting the way your character is preparing for a throw, attach the object to the fishing line, and take a shot for each moment when the character moves further in the air. After that, upload the photos to Movavi Photo Editor and remove the fishing line the same way you did with wire in the previous example.
4:25➤ SHOTS
If you need to know how to animate a Lego character who’s shooting a gun, here are two ways to do it. The first one is to use Lego action figures and a flashlight. Just alternate pictures with lighting and additional action figures. The second one is to apply special effects from the Blockbuster pack while editing.
6:08➤ EXPLOSIONS
There are also two ways to make the cartoon explosion effect for your stop motion video. For the first one you need cotton balls. Roll a few cotton balls of different sizes and take three or four shots each time placing a bigger cotton ball where the explosion should be. For the second one you’ll need the very same Blockbuster pack while editing.
7:35➤ EMOTIONS ANIMATION OF ACTION FIGURES
To piss off a Lego action figure, it’s enough to take a picture of it with a calm facial expression, then take its head off and screw in another one, with an angry expression. Some Lego heads have two facial expressions at the same time.
