CS Lewis Square Belfast; The lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe Video

Home
This is not just for adults, but kids will get excited about following those trails as well and seeing the different sculptures related to that author and writer - you should have already seen this in the video; the excitement that reached our kids from visiting the place as well as watching the movie (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrNh2d768tM).

C.S. Lewis (Clive Staples) was a British novelist, poet, medievalist, literary critic, essayist, lay theologian, broadcaster, lecturer, and Christian apologist, who was born in Belfast where the CS Lewis Square is now found. Lewis wrote more than 30 books and he is best known for the works of fiction that he has created which include: The Screwtape Letters, The Chronicles of Narnia, and The Space Trilogy.

Being known as the most famous of them all, The Chronicles of Narnia is actually the one that was sold the most and also the one to be used in TV shows, on radio, as well as cinema, and it is also the one according to which this square in Belfast, Northern Ireland, was given that name (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9w2rhI9sSw4).

CS Lewis Square is named after that British writer and the creator of The Chronicles of Narnia in which there are seven bronze sculptures from "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" and which include Aslan, Maugrim, the White Witch, Tumnus, the Beavers, the Robin and the Stone Table - it was actually interesting to walk across these different sculptures with following the route in the chart, even the kids were so excited about it all.

CS Lewis Square is located at the intersection of the Connswater and Comber Greenways, beside the East Side Visitor Centre, where visitors can access information on the city's attractions from interactive screens, interpretative panels, and a wall map (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lvcep6ttT4Y&list=PLwIdwlN8UDD4pwkbu5GFyzvr4sCgm8Lh6).

In order to make the whole thing clear for the kids and give them the chance to search for the characters in the square, know exactly who they are and what are their different roles, and enjoy finding them out along with taking some pictures, we decided to make a movie night and give them the chance to know the role of every character and point out to it (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lvcep6ttT4Y).

This wasn't the first time for us to visit the place but it was actually the second - and we could definitely be there once again - because it is like walking around a beautiful kind-of-green area with a couple of sculptures that are situated there and which you could relate back to. This place is open 24/7 and it will mostly be enjoyed by the adults who have known about the author and his writings as well as those kids who might have scene the movies lately or have even read or heard the story before, so it is a place for walking around for all ages.

This is a place that seems like any other touristic place that people usually go and visit because after doing all the walking and enjoying those different sculptures, one could enjoy a drink at a coffee shop that is found in the area - also a good option for those who happen to be visiting the place during the unexpected Irish weather - so never worry about spending the day at the place because you will definitely find everything you are searching for.

The Chronicles of Narnia is known to be a novel series - seven fantasy novels - which have been also made into movies. This novel narrates the characters of children who play central roles in the unfolding history of the world of magic. It is believed that these different stories were taken from different sources which include traditional Christian themes, as well as ideas and characters from Greek and Roman mythology and from the traditional British and Irish fairy tales.

As much as we loved that place - and as much as the kids also fell in love with it and enjoyed getting closer to the characters they were introduced to in the movie - we could actually go there every now and then to enjoy the place, have a little walk, and at the same time show the world what we have here in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

There are different other places to visit in Belfast if you are searching for other suggestions in addition to CS Lewis Square, such as heading to the Crumlin Road Gaol (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kX_5KuuSUE), going to the Kiltonga Wildlife Reserve in Newtownwards as well (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VA8cvUlIvkU) and since it is all about the sculptures then people could also go and visit big fish sculpture in Belfast as well (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWcqcARIO2I).

We have been to the CS Lewis Square several times and we are still excited about going and visiting it for the millionth time because what is better than walking around a beautiful place with some sculptures for a famous novelist? We believe nothing!

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. πŸŽ₯

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced πŸ€”

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. πŸ”

Creating Truly Random Links πŸ› οΈ

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube πŸ“Ί

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎡

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact πŸ€‘

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. πŸ“ˆ
