Larrybane - GOT Map beside Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge - NI Video

Home
The Larrybane Quarry beside the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge has been used for 2 separate shoots for the epic TV show - Game of Thrones. It was used for Season 2 - Episode 3 "What is Dead May Never Die" and Season 6 - Episode 5 - "The Door" One of the most famous episodes? Possibly?

Larrybane, which is located just beside the Carrick-a-Rede Rope bridge, is one of the famous locations in Northern Ireland that appeared in Game of Thrones series, and it is one of the different locations which we decided to head out to.

The part in which Larrybane and Carrick-a-Rede Rope bridge are located might not be as famous as the Giant's Causeway (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjUEeEEHuls) which is also found next to them, but still they managed to make their name famous after their appearance in GOT series.

The scenery that one will be offered when it comes to Larrybane is spectacular and might be one of the rare when it comes to Northern Ireland and not just that, but even the rope bridge is one of the rarest in Northern Ireland and that is why it might be known by those who always tend to dig deep behind the rare and different things; this rope bridge was actually built by fishermen 300 years ago and that's why lots of people come to test their nerve by crossing it every year.

Even though this is considered a site that is old enough to hold history, it does not actually have any of those remains which would tell much about this history; so it is actually an old place but one which might not be that much known.

Game of Thrones is known to be an original HBO series based on Goerge R. R. Martin's best-selling fantasy novel, A Song of Ice and Fire. This movie was filmed in different countries around the world and in Northern Ireland it was also filmed in different places which some of them became famous after their appearance and tourists started visiting them afterwards to check how they look like in the real world, just like the case with the Dark Hedges (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmAKfkn11Qc).

For all those Game of Thrones fans out there, checking the place will immediately link with the scenes, episodes, and seasons in which the place appeared in the series; in this case with Larrybane, it actually appeared in season 2, episode 3 and season 6, episode 5, and those who watched all the episodes will love being in the place. On the other hand, those who are visiting this location just for enjoying it and not for anything that has to do with Game of Thrones, it needs someone who enjoys nature and who loves the idea of such scenery and putting the mind at rest with the calmness of the place.

If you got the chance to visit this place - whether you are doing that for the sake of Game of Thrones or for any other reason - you should never forget to pass by the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and also get the chance to go and enjoy the beautiful miracle of Giant's Causeway which is one of the favorite places for the tourists when it comes to Northern Ireland (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nAnV_Isw4I).

In addition to this experience which we had while visiting Larrybane in Ballintoy, Northern Ireland, we passed by other ones when we were visiting other locations that Game of Thrones also took its place in. From the locations which we have been to, we visited Toome Canal which is located in Toomebridge, county Antrim (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1KqyF3tj7Y), we have also been to Lough Neagh which was known as the smoking sea in the series (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COUaQZJ8-kI), we went to Portstewart Strand in Portrush (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yD73BZpr0hg), we also visited the Binvenagh Mountain (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYQXeJm4D2o), Downhill Beach Castlerock is also a place which we managed to visit regarding Game of Thrones (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DhqUuCqhC8), the Cushendun Caves was also one of the different locations which we managed to reach (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7dNEReGod4), as well as the Leitrim Lodge which was also part of the series (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMZGR_OtKx4).

It is actually interesting to visit these different places in real and also go to the restaurants, hotels, pubs, and bars in order to see the 10 doors that appeared throughout the episodes but in real - we have been doing that as well and managed to see some of them.

Some of the best locations around Ireland / Northern Ireland and further afield. A travel blog/vlog of the hidden treasures that are on our doorstep.

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. πŸŽ₯

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced πŸ€”

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. πŸ”

Creating Truly Random Links πŸ› οΈ

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube πŸ“Ί

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎡

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact πŸ€‘

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. πŸ“ˆ
