Blakes of the Hollow - Door Number 4 - Game of Thrones Video

Home
Blakes of the Hollow is a traditional Irish Victorian pub that has been opened for more than 125 years - in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh. It has some amazing snugs - for patrons to sit and have a quiet drink. Also - the Game of Thrones Door 4!

So if in Enniskillen - be sure to add Blakes to the list of places to visit! The food in Blakes is very tasty as well ;-) Which would add to the experience of visiting a place related to Game of Thrones!

Game of Thrones movie series is an American fantasy drama television series that was created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss and which was filmed in different countries across the world with Northern Ireland being one of them, where there are different places which we have already visited as well as those restaurants, pubs, hotels, and bars where the 10 doors are placed.

Blakes of the Hollow, that old Irish Victorian Hub, is where door number 4 is found and which is found in Enniskillen, county Fermanagh. We are always excited about the idea of visiting those places which are related to the series and we have already been to those different locations in Northern Ireland which the movie took its part in and this was one of the places we recently visited.

The best thing about Blakes of the Hollow place is the heritage it carries behind, since it is one of the oldest, most famous, and well recognized Victorian pubs in Ireland, so those who will be checking the place for Game of Thrones door, will be also coming to visit this attraction which has graced county Fermanagh's shores for over 125 years - and don't worry, you will be served with nice food and drinks as well :-)

One of the things we noticed in this pub is the way it tries to suit all the different ages - of course those who are allowed to enter the place - and at the same time keeps its traditions and history without ruining them. Since it is a place that suits different age groups out there, you could order your Irish coffee or else stick to the pint of Guinness that you wanted to try (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRLVI51fxG4) so it is not just the age, but the taste as well.

Blakes of the Hollow Pub was where door number four in Game of Thrones series is located but we have managed to keep the journey going and visit those other places where some of the other doors are located. This journey behind Game of Thrones doors passed through The Percy French Restaurant in Newcastle, county Down which was the first stop to head out to and it holds door number 3 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONv66SEr5FQ), afterwards comes the Fullerton Arms Hotel in Ballintoy, Ballycastle, and in which door number 6 is found (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGZdoJdaWkg) - one of the things we loved about this place is the Game of Thrones room which is prepared in the GOT theme and which you could book to have your lunch or dinner at (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_nIR31uvak). We also headed to Mary McBride's Bar in Cushendun, Ballymena in Northern Ireland, and got the chance to see the wooden art that is related to door number 8 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyDD3LdIHu4), this was followed by a visit to the Ballygally Castle Hotel for checking door number 9 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SnEqs1sBIU), as well as the Dark Horse Bar in the Commercial Court in Belfast where we have seen door number 10 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEU1fHE50Sk).

Even though the main reason behind going after these different doors in order to check the wooden art they are made of goes back to Game of Thrones movie series, it is still considered interesting to go for a place and check that kind of art converted into doors made from wood; in reality it feels astonishing and it would blow the mind away, just like the way it did with us.

In addition to those places in which the doors are located, there are also those locations in Northern Ireland where some scenes from the movie were filmed and we have also managed to visit them. We have been to the Dark Hedges which is considered our favorite (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmAKfkn11Qc), we have been to the Cushendun Caves (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7dNEReGod4), we have also been to Portstewart Strand (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yD73BZpr0hg), we visited the Larrybane (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RXOUknZ5N4), we went to Lough Neagh (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COUaQZJ8-kI), we also managed to visit Toome Canal (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1KqyF3tj7Y), and that comes in addition to the Leitrim Lodge (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMZGR_OtKx4).

If you happen to be a fan of Game of Thrones and you want to visit those different locations in which it was filmed then Northern Ireland would be a great hit for you because you will pass by different locations and you will also check different doors.

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. πŸŽ₯

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced πŸ€”

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. πŸ”

Creating Truly Random Links πŸ› οΈ

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube πŸ“Ί

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎡

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact πŸ€‘

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. πŸ“ˆ
